Take advantage of long summer evenings to stroll through the night markets of the Landes and Basque regions. It’s an opportunity to hunt for souvenirs, unearth artisan treasures and sample local produce. Here’s a roundup of seaside night markets not to be missed this summer!

Ondres night market

Every Tuesday evening, come and meet the local exhibitors who will liven up the summer evenings in Ondres. Local produce, crafts, jewelry, home decor, clothing, accessories, leather goods – there’s something for everyone! It’s the place to be for bargains, rare gems and the perfect vacation souvenir.

  • When? Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 11pm, July and August.
  • Where? Parking de la plage, avenue de la plage, 40440 Ondres (10 km from Lou P’tit Poun campsite).

Labenne night market

Like every summer, night markets are back in Labenne-Océan. Meet on Thursday in the village square. Various local craftsmen, producers and creators offer their products: local produce, arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, cosmetics, decorative items, etc. And there’s plenty of entertainment, too, with food stalls and free concerts.

  • When? Thursday evenings from 4.30pm to 10pm, July and August.
  • Where? Place de la République, opposite the church.

Biarritz night market

In Biarritz this summer, night markets every day! Producers, local creators and artists invite you to share and exchange ideas until the end of August. The stalls offer a varied selection of Basque products, souvenirs, arts and crafts, jewelry, fabrics, tableware, decorative surfboards and other original creations.

  • Thursday to Saturday, from 6pm, Halles Centrale, 64200 Biarritz.
  • Tuesday: Docks night market (local designers and artists, musical entertainment, barbecue…), 7pm to 11pm, rue Luis Mariano, 64200 Biarritz.
  • Fridays and Wednesdays: Creators’ night market at Port des Pêcheurs, from 7pm to midnight.

Bidart night market

Every Thursday in July and August, a night market takes place from 6pm to 11pm. Jewelry, ceramics, small leather goods, basketry, textiles, Basque linen, espadrilles, decorative objects, wooden toys, ephemeral tattoos and candy vendors for children. You’ll be spoilt for choice!

Bayonne night market

During the summer, artisans, designers and local producers set up shop on the Quai de Lesseps, on Friday evenings, on the banks of the Adour. You’ll find stalls selling Basque products, jewelry, pottery, ready-to-wear and other handicrafts. All in a festive and convivial atmosphere.

  • When? Every Friday in July and August, from 6pm to 11pm.
  • Where? Quai de Lesseps (rive droite), quartier Saint-Esprit, 64100 Bayonne.

Capbreton night market

All summer long, Capbreton ‘s town center comes alive with a night-time craft market on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Strollers will find all kinds of handmade creations by local artisans: jewelry, bags, accessories, clothing and other souvenirs. For the occasion, most of the stores on the pedestrian street remain open during this night market.

  • When? Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in July and August, from 7pm to 11pm.
  • Where? Centre-ville, rue du Général de Gaulle, 40130 Capbreton.

Anglet night market

Local produce, clothing, crafts, artists’ creations, fashion accessories, tableware, wellness products… More than 70 exhibitors display their know-how every Friday evening on theAnglet esplanade. It features the vast majority of traders from the night markets of the Basque Country,Anglet, Bayonne and Landes.

  • When? Every Friday, 6-11pm, July and August.
