A very popular old fishing port, Capbreton is now a famous seaside resort situated opposite Hossegor on the Atlantic coast.
While on holiday in the Landes, you can go cycling, sailing or surfing or simply relax on the fine sandy beaches. And then there’s Capbreton’s iconic monument: the Estacade.
Built by Napoleon III, the Estacade symbolises the regeneration of the port which had been in decline for centuries as a result of the changing course of the River Adour.
Situated only fifteen minutes from the Lou P'tit Poun campsite, the attractions of this nautical resort are well worth a visit.
